Assassin's Creed: Origins is potentially my favourite entry in the franchise - if not, it's certainly on par with Assassin's Creed II. As such, I've spent a lot of time taking in the sights and enjoying all the details that Ubisoft have put into the game. Thankfully they also added a photo mode, which has allowed me to make some shots that I'm now going to share with you lot.

I've got way more photos - these are just some very recent, select ones. Feel free to share your own!

I thought everyone had larger than 1920x1080. Isn't 4k supposed to be the "in thing" nowadays?

76.47% of STEAM users only have a 1920x1080p monitor whereas 4k is a whopping 0.49%.

2560x1440p has a respectable 3.40%.

All stats from the STEAM Hardware Survey.

haven't got origins yet, unity is actually my favorite believe it or not (favorite setting and i liked the stealth focus). Probably grab Origins on a sale.

My monitor is 1920x1080. Of course, it is from 2012, when 1080 was the in thing to have.

Yeah, 4k is too expensive for most people to enter properly. Can get a 4k TV for a decent price, but features that are "must-have" like G-sync up the price to a point where it's just not worth the investment. That, and you gotta upgrade the GPU to even be able to handle 4k to something like a 1080, which until recently has been impossible to get for anything less than 150% of msrp. So yeah, it's coming but the price barrier plus the relatively negligible increase in user experience compared to previous jumps in tech make it something most people are fine putting off.

Plus, seeing the  game in 4k just makes blurred out/low quality details more  painful to look at. Don't get me wrong, the game is pretty, but those screenshots have distant details looking a bit mediocre. Like, 2+ year old games  can compete  with those graphics easily.

KgvNIYH63RqRYU6uJXOOfyaB3RDgpfR3l6rik5EB.jpeg@Serio You still play Assassins Creed Origins? Is it still worth the frankly insane pricetag?

I have just over a hundred hours in it, so I would say yeah. But I'm sure there's gonna be a sale on it soon, too. Hell, might be one if you shop around a bit.
